Chris "Fox" Wallace Eliminated in 17th Place ($5,904)

Chris Wallace - eliminated.
Chris Wallace - eliminated.

Chris "Fox" Wallace: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{9-}{7-}
Phil Hellmuth: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{8-}{7-}

When we reached the table, Wallace and Hellmuth were heads up on fifth street, and after a series of bets and raises, Wallace was all in.

Wallace: {4-}{2-}
Hellmuth: {7-}{5-}

Both players bricked on sixth - Wallace was dealt a {10-}, which didn't improve his hand, and Hellmuth paired his {8-}. On seventh street, as a courtesy, Hellmuth flipped his down card face up. Unfortunately for Wallace, it was a {3-}, giving Hellmuth an eighty-seven low, and the best hand.

Wallace's down card was a {j-}, and he was eliminated from the tournament. Congratulations to Fox, who is the author of a daily blog about the WSOP and other happenings in poker. A 17th-place finish at the WSOP and $5,904 is nothing to scoff at.
