What About the Spades?
Level 14
: 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
We got to the table and the dealer was chopping up a pot between Natasha Barbour who held and Fred Miller who had on a double paired board. No one, except for Miller, was aware of the three spades that were on the board and as the dealer was working on splitting up the chips Miller looked once more at the board and asked the dealer "what about the spades?"
It was then that the dealer — and the rest of the table — noticed that Miller had hit the nut flush. Much to Barbour's chagrin, she had to send a full double up over to Miller who moved up to 145,000. Barbour was crippled down to 32,000 after the hand.
