Rafa Nadal Set to Take on the World Playing Pokerstars Zoom 0001

Earlier this year, PokerStars SportStar and tennis icon Rafa Nadal took on players from Spain in a 3,000 heads-up Zoom poker contest on PokerStars.es. For an hour, Nadal took on anyone and everyone, and for every hand he won he earned a point. If he lost, then Spain would get a point. Nadal ended up winning and donated the 3,000 prize to charity. Now, Nadal is providing the same opportunity to the rest of the world.

According to the PokerStars Blog, Nadal will play a six-max Zoom play-money challenge on Wednesday, March 19 at 5:30 ET while in Miami for the Sony Open. Once again he will play for an hour, and the scoring will remain the same. No matter who wins, PokerStars plans to award $100 for each winning hand, which will then go to Care International.

In addition, players are encouraged to watch the webcast, which will be commentated by Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu, and interact with Nadal on Twitter using the hashtag #AskRafa.

"Rafa's poker knowledge and skill level has improved dramatically since he started learning the game, Negreanu told the PokerStars Blog. I'm looking forward to seeing if he can make this a hat-trick of wins, having already taken down the charity tournament at EPT Prague and beating players from across Spain."
