WSOP Updates: BIG Final Table Day Today - Negreanu vs. Lindgren; Raymer, Brenes Also Star
Days like today are the reason the WSOP is the premier event in poker. We have three final tables today, all of which have their own great storylines, and big name players. Follow along with us today as we take you on a ride with plenty of star power, and plenty of poker action.
The marquee matchup of the day has got to be in Event # 21, The $1,500 No Limit Hold Em Shootout. Top players, and longtime friendly rivals Daniel Negreanu, and Erick Lindgren will square off in a match up that is sure to entertain, and may also give big time bragging rights to either Erick orr Daniel, should one of them win. Fans can be sure the needle will be out, and Daniel and Erick will be talking a lot of trash, and keeping poker fans entertained.
Next up on the schedule is the final table of Event #19, the $2,500 No Limit Hold 'Em tournament, which features Humberto Brenes and his toy shark taking on John Phan with top online players Devin Porter, Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Alex Bolotin, and chip leader Lars Bonding all ready to duke it out. With the size of the fields these days, it's rare that you see a final table with 7 or 8 names you recognize. We have that today, however, with the final table of Event # 19.
Also on tap for today is Greg Raymer. No one contests Greg's No Limit Hold Em tournament prowess, but its nice to see him going for a bracelet in another game. Raymer is the big name at the final table of Event #20, $2,000 Seven Card Stud High-Low Split (Eight-or-Better). Raymer is third in chips as the day's play starts, and it will be interesting to see how the table plays out, as 5 or 6 of the players are on short stacks, and the chips are all in the hands of the top three players.
