PokerStars Super Tuesday Goes to AceBonG
A smallish version of the Pokerstars Super Tuesday still brought out plenty of stars, including a 2008 WSOP bracelet winner, but when the action wrapped for the night it was AceBonG with the $71,750 triumph. The event drew 306 runners this week, including Blair blur5f6 Hinkle. Just missing out on the final table were online poker regulars Stephan delegator Kjaerstad in 11th ($5,600), Tim Tmay420 West in 12th ($5,600), Matt All_in_at420 Stout in 13th ($4,725), Ronald ronaldgrauer Grauer in 14th ($4,725) and Jim BreakRibs Kilarjian in 18th ($3,850). These were the chip counts to start the final table:
JoeGall 287,663
Blair blur5f6 Hinkle 124,643
ricestud 87,435
prearei 86,437
mandrake5 75,499

AceBonG 65,951
Todd koolkeith13 Lewis 62,706

Blair Hinkle got things started by busting Jeff jeff710 Hakim during the 1,500/3,000/300 level. Hakim opened to 7,500 in the hijack and Hinkle raised all in from the small blind, having Hakim covered. Hakim called all in for 50,636 with A?J? and was racing against Hinkles 4?4?. The board came 9?8?5?K?6? as Hakim was gone in ninth place for $6,125. Todd koolkeith13 Lewis lost a coin flip in that level, too. He held A?K? against AceBonGs 10?10?, but a third ten hit the flop. Lewis took eighth place for $8,750. Matt papamat25 Iles met a similar fate, exiting when his A?10? missed against AceBonGs 6?6?, as both remaining sixes found the table. Iles finished in seventh place for $12,250.
Preareis tournament ended at 2,000/4,000/400. Hinkle raised to 9,189 in the cutoff and prearei shoved for 41,072 out of the small blind. Hinkle called with K?Q? and was dominating preareis K?J?. The board rolled out 6?3?A?7?4? as prearei headed for the exit in sixth place for $15,750. Hinkle, though, was the next to be felted. AceBonG called from the small blind and Hinkle popped it to 16,000 from the big blind. AceBonG then shoved with the bigger stack and Hinkle called all in for 103,255 with J?J?, leading AceBonGs A?10?. However, the board ran out 10?6?8?10?A? as AceBonG made a full house to eliminate Hinkle in fifth place for $20,650.
The 3,000/6,000/600 level was ricestuds last. First to act, ricestud went all in for 82,638 holding 4?4?, but AceBonG woke up with AdAs in the big blind and called. The 4c landed on the flop to put ricestud in the lead, but the A? fell on the river and sent ricestud to the rail in fourth place for $29,750. JoeGall bowed out in third place after clashing with AceBonG. On the button, JoeGall raised to 14,775 and AceBonG shoved from the big blind with the big stack. After a moment JoeGall called with A?8?, which trailed AceBonGs A?J?. The board rolled out K?8?9?J?5? as AceBonG recovered after the flop to bust JoeGall in third place for $39,550. Heads-up play began with the following chip counts:
AceBonG 684,350
mandrake5 233,650
AceBonG sealed the win at 4,000/8,000/800. The action started with mandrake5s raise to 24,000 on the button. AceBonG shoved from the big blind and mandrake5 called with A?K?, in the lead against AceBonGs A?8?. The board ran out 10?3?J?8?10? as AceBonG spiked an eight to win the tournament and the $71,750 first-place payday, with mandrake5 collecting $52,500 as the runner-up.
