The high-roller events include a $2 million guaranteed No-Limit event on September 6th, an $800,000 guaranteed No-Limit Match Play event on September 13th, and a $1 million guaranteed H.O.R.S.E tournament on September 20th.

As with previous years, the WCOOP offers something for all types of players including No-Limit, Razz, Pot-Limit Omaha, Fixed-Limit Hold'em, 8-Game Mix, Pot-Limit Hold'em, Badugi, Omaha Hi-Lo, Fixed-Limit Omaha
Fixed-Limit Triple Draw, H.O.R.S.E, 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo, and the newly introduced No-Limit Omaha.

Last year, PokerStars awarded $39,958,000 in prize money for players through 33 events. The biggest winner was "ckingusc" after he dragged the Main Event championship and the $1,265,432 first-place prize.

A number of top players are expected to participate including Team Pokerstars players Daniel Negreanu, Chris Moneymaker, Barry Greenstein, Vanessa Rousso and Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier.

Although Pokerstars offers action to numerous countries worldwide, the players in the U.S. have dominated the action, landing 535 final-table appearances, $59,472,430.22 in earnings and 11,094 cashes.
