Five Minutes with ESPN.com's Inside Deal Host Andrew Feldman 0001

ESPN.com's "Inside Deal" has become a fan favorite since its debut and poker fans are wondering about the show's fate. To get the inside scoop, we caught up with ESPN.com's poker editor Andrew Feldman to talk about the show's future, what kind of coverage fans can expect from ESPN.com, and what he likes about doing the show.

What lies ahead for "Inside Deal" after the final table?

Things are still up in the air. We're not sure if it will be back yet, but we're hoping to find out relatively soon. We have a lot of fans and a lot of people that supported the show. If players want to keep the show on the air, they can show their support at [email protected].

Is the team going to be at the Rio during the Main Event?

We will be at the Rio for the Main Event. We will be doing a preview show on Friday November 6 as well as a 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. show on Sunday and the wrap-show as soon as the final table is done.

What can poker fans expect from ESPN.com's coverage during the Main Event?

I will be hosting a live blog on ESPN.com throughout the final table. It's basically me sitting there telling the story of the final table. I'll try to keep it exciting and make it as entertaining as possible. There will also be podcasts with interviews with all of the players and other celebrities in attendance. ESPN.com will also have a ton of exclusive video. We will be doing interviews with the November Nine on Friday.

Is there a chance that Inside Deal will make it to the network?

Honestly, I don't know. That has yet to be determined. I don't know what the television side has thought of it. In a sense, we are all trying to work together to build a poker brand and were just hoping that no matter what happens, the decision is in the best interest of the poker fans.

What has been your best experience while doing the show?

The show has been a blast. Hanging out with the November Nine every Monday has been great. Although the show is a half hour, we get to spend the day with these guys and really get to know them on a personal level.

Make sure to check out the latest episode of the "Inside Deal" as the team talks with WSOP November Nine member Kevin Schaffel. In addition to getting Schaffel's thoughts on the upcoming final table, the Inside Deal staff also speaks with Mike Sexton about his recent election to the Poker Hall of Fame.
