2010 World Series of Poker Day 45: Tony Dunst Gunning For November Nine with Day 4 Chip Lead

With every passing day of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event, we get closer and closer to the November Nine, and after Day 4 of play, Tony Dunst is in the best position to get there, leading the tournament with over 1.5 million in chips.

Dunst, who is known online as "Bond18," made his charge to a million by winning two consecutive pots a few hours before the money bubble burst. The second of the two saw the action folded around to Dunst in the small blind with him making a raise to 13,500 with Kx10x. Isaac Krantz made the call in the big blind, and the two saw a 10?6?2? flop. Dunst fired out 18,000, Krantz raised to 41,000, and Dunst called. The turn was the 3? and Dunst check-called a 100,000 bet. The river was the K?, and Krantz moved all-in covering Dunst who made the call with top two pair, which was good enough to push him the 1.12 million chip pot.

Close behind Dunst and over the million chip mark are Matt Affleck, Phil Galfond, Johnny Chan, Adam Levy, Theo Jorgensen and Team PokerStars Pro JP Kelly, who has exactly 1 million. Chan had a rather quiet day as many fresh faces rose in the counts, but he did manage to bust a player on the last hand of the night when he flopped the nuts on a J?K?Q? flop with A?10?, and crushed his opponents meager A?5?.

Others who will be joining the leaders on to Day 5 are Team PokerStars Pros Johnny Lodden, Vanessa Selbst, Jason Mercier, Andre Coimbra,Gualter Salles-Santos, Greg DeBora and William Thorson along with Matthew Reed, Christian Harder, Jason Sommerville and Scotty Nguyen, to name a few.

The brothers Mizrachi are also still in the hunt for a WSOP Main Event title, although they've lost one of their wolf pack. Eric Mizrachi survived long enough to ensure that all four brothers cashed in spectacular fashion but hit the rail shortly after the bubble burst. The most under-the-radar brother, Danny, leads the group with 437,000. He's followed by Robert who has 381,000, and Michael who is the shortest stack of the three remaining with 241,000.

Danny, looked as if he was set to follow Eric out the door before tripling up late in the day. He raised to 13,000 under the gun, and David Benyamine called in middle position. Both blinds came along, and the doozie of a flop fell J?10?9?. The small blind fired out 38,000, the big blind folded, and Mizrachi raised to 80,000. Benyamine then tried to use his big stack to muscle everyone out, moving all in for around 700,000. The small blind called for a total of 280,000. And Mizrachi called all-in as well with his last 124,000. Time for a showdown.

Mizrachi: K?Q? for the flopped nuts
Small Blind: 10?10? for a flopped set
Benyamine: 8?6? for a flush draw and an open-ended second-best straight draw

"That's the last thing I wanted to see - a flush draw and a set," Mizrachi said. Eric Mizrachi, who was eliminated shortly after the bubble, ran over to sweat the hand, and Michael Mizrachi's wife jogged in from the feature table to watch, as well.

The 2? turn was a brick, and the 4? river was more of the same, and the Mizrachi clan went nuts with high fives and hugs as Danny stacked his new found wealth.

The least lucky guy in the room on Tuesday was Tim McDonald, who was the 2010 WSOP bubble boy, and was presented as such to the 747 remaining Main Event players, dealers, tournament staff and media by tournament director Jack Effel. All was not lost however, as Effel announced McDonald would get a chance to redeem himself next year with a free entry into the 2011 WSOP. Hopefully Mcdonald will be able to repeat Kia Hamadani, the 2009 bubble burster, who this year managed to make the money and will be back for Day 5 with a stack of around 600,000.

Other players who did not survive Day 4 included Humberto Brenes, Pieter De Korver, Angel Guillen, Barry Greenstein, Marcin Horecki, Corwin Cole, Robert Varkonyi, Erica Schoenberg, Adam Junglen, Patrick Antonius and Allen Cunningham.

Play resumes on Wednesday for Day 5 at 12 p.m. and PokerNews will be back to bring you updates from the floor as they happen so be sure to keep your browsers locked to our WSOP live reporting pages.
