PartyGaming and Bwin Merger
Its been rumoured for more than a year but on 29 July it was finally announced that online gambling powerhouses Bwin and PartyGaming Plc would merge to create the world's largest listed online gaming business worth $3+ billion. Bwin are the listed owners of the Ongame Network who recently added Betfair as one of their skins.

It isnt clear yet how the liquidity of the two sites will be used but PartyPoker look set to be the key brand. With the potential of US regulation on the horizon this could see Party Poker becoming one of the market leaders in the industry once again.
