Winners List
The inaugural British Poker Awards took place on Monday night at the Kensington Close Hotel in London. The awards were hosted by Antonio Esfandiari and Bluff Europe's Michael Caselli.
��The event has been fantastic and I hope it��s the first of many to come. More than 3,000 people voted online for their favorite players, which is a fantastic response. Big thanks to Antonio, my co-host, and to our media partners Poker Europa and PokerNews.com for helping us to organize the event," Caselli said.

WCCOP Update
Twenty-seven events are complete from the 2010 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker schedule and over $23 million has been awarded. There are still plenty of events left to be played and way more cash to be handed out. The $1,050 no-limit hold'em two-day event began on Tuesday as well. A $1,433,000 prize pool was created from the 1,433 entrants. Plenty of Team PokerStars Pros were among those who sat down in front of their computer screens, vying for the title and the $243,610 first-place prize including Joe Cada, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, and Chris Moneymaker. The final 72 players will resume play at 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday to play down to a winner. Here's what the top ten chip counts look like going into Day 2.

PPA Ratings
The Poker Players Alliance has done a little grading of members of Congress and their stance on the legalization of online poker. Some of the congressmen might want to hang those report cards on their refrigerators while others might not.
��The poker community has made tremendous progress over the past two years in educating members of Congress on the benefits of regulating online poker,�� former U.S. Senator Alfonse D��Amato and chairman of the Poker Players Alliance said. ��The grades in our 2010 Congressional Ratings Guide indicate that progress, but also underscore that more needs to be done."
The five members of Nevada's delegation received either A's or B's, with Rep. Shelley Berkley coming out on top of the class with an A+. In 2008, 258 members of Congress earned a D or an F. This year's number dropped to 194. And the number of A's? 91. Hey, it's an increase in the right spots, and that's all we can ask for.
