2010 World Series of Poker: Live Reporting Coverage of the Heads-Up Battle Between Duhamel and Racener
On Saturday, throngs of spectators piled into the Penn & Teller Theater inside the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino to watch history take place. They were there to watch nine men play for poker's most coveted prize - the World Series of Poker Main Event bracelet. Play ended Saturday night with two of the nine men remaining - Jonathan Duhamel and John Racener.
Duhamel began Saturday with the chip lead and although he didn't hold that lead throughout play, he got it back and is going into heads-up play with a 6-to-1 chip lead over Racener. Don't count Racener out, however, he's still in the game and his play has been solid of late. The chip lead for him is just two double-ups away. If Duhamel can ride the momentum he's had, however, he would become the first Canadian to win the WSOP Main Event.
The race for the bracelet begins Monday night at 8 p.m. PST, and PokerNews will be on site bringing you all the action in more ways than one.
