The World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event in Biloxi, Mississippi, kicked off on Sunday from the IP Casino Resort & Spa. A field of 270 came to play; 60 will return on Monday to try to reach the final table. At the top of the counts is Shane Sigsbee with 203,600.

The biggest and most accomplished player in the field was T.J. Cloutier. Day 1 was tumultuous for this poker veteran, but he managed to end up with 116,000. Early on, he found a key double-up when he was all-in with K?J? against 8?4? on a 6?5?3? board. The 3? turn card and 5? river card improved neither player's hand, but Cloutier's king-high played to secure the double. During the last level of play, Cloutier doubled again to safely make it through to Day 2.

Among those failing to make it through the day was WSOP-Circuit cashing wizard Doug "Rico" Carli. On his final hand, he was all in with A?K? against two opponents. Unfortunately for Carli, the board ran out Q?9?4?10?Q? offering no help. One of his opponents held K?Q? and Carli's tournament was over. Also busting was "Captain" Tom Franklin. He got it in with K?J? on a K?K?7? board, but his opponent held 7?7?. The board did pair on the river; however, it was the 7? to give Franklin's opponent quads. Joining them on the rail were Chris Tryba, Gabe Costner and Shiva Dudani.

The top ten counts heading into Day 2 are:

1. Shane Sigsbee - 203,600
2. Yong Chen - 187,500
3. Cary Purcell - 187,400
4. Anthony Ruffolo - 187,300
5. Mike Flowers - 184,000
6. Randy Dimech - 182,500
7. Steven Marshall - 180,600
8. Garrett Jones - 171,500
9. Farid Nasserazad - 162,400
10. Ray Qartomy - 154,500

Play resumes at 12 p.m. local time on Monday with the remaining 60 players playing down to a final table. Our Live Reporting team has a front-row seat for all the action, and you can read the live updates right here.
