The race to become the years biggest winner has dominated the online headlines the past few weeks as Ilari Ilari FIN Sahamies, Rafi refaelamit Amit, and Viktor Isildur1 Blom jockey for position. It looks like Sahamies, currently $400,000 ahead of Amit, will take down the title. But there is still a week left in the month.

This past week, action was relatively slow, with the biggest winner, the exasperatingly named 1Il|1Il|1il|, winning a modest $283,059 in 12,288 hands spread across 82 sessions. Not far behind was Ronny 1-ronnyr3 Kaiser, who banked $265,457 in 81 sessions/7,407 hands, followed by Gavin gavz101 Cochrane (+$172,325 in 74 sessions/8,170 hands), "bernard-bb" (+$161,177 in 71 sessions/9,260 hands), and Terje Terken89 Augdal (+$94,984 in 50 sessions/4,932 hands).

The biggest loser of the week was "kaju85", who dropped $189,602 in 60 sessions comprising 12,916 hands. The other big losers included "VietRussian" (-$152,256 in 36 sessions/2,527 hands), "Zypherin" (-$135,403 in six sessions/680 hands), and Randy nanonoko Lew (-$130,767 in 52 sessions/5,616 hands).

Kaiser and Augdal Cleanup

Last Thursday, Ronny 1-ronnyr3 Kaiser, emerged as the days biggest winner after winning $174,000 in just 337 hands at $100/$200 pot-limit Omaha. Likewise, Terje Terken89 Augdal had a good day winning $140,000 in the game.

In the biggest hand of the day, six players were playing $100/$200 PLO when Fake Love888 ($124,609), rumored to be Patrik Antonius, opened for $800 from middle position only to have Kaiser ($108,441) three-bet to $2,400 from the cutoff. Action folded back to Fake Love888 who put in a four-bet to $8,540, Kaiser five-bet $26,160, Fake Love888 called, and the flop came down 2?7?10?.

Fake Love888 wasted little time in leading out for $48,055, Kaiser moved all-in for $82,281, and Fake Love888 made the call.

Showdown
Fake Love888: 9?9?6?6?
Kaiser: A?A?K?8?

Kaiser held naked aces while Fake Love888 was sitting with both straight and flush draws. Unfortunately for the latter, neither the 2? turn nor 5? river helped and Kaiser took down the $217,182 pot.

Friday Love for Fake Love888

Whether or not Fake Love888 is actually Patrik Antonius remains to be seen, though all signs point to yes. Nonetheless, that doesnt change the fact that December has been a bad month for the Finn. After losing about $500,000 this month, Fake Love888 seemed to have turned things around, recouping $300,000 of his losses. On Friday, Fake Love888 was the days biggest winner after profiting $142,000, including the biggest pot of the day.

In that hand, Fake Love888 ($61,026) was playing six-handed $100/$200 PLO when Phil MrSweets28 Galfond($93,889) opened for $720 and aba20 called from the button. Fake Love888 was in the big blind and exercised his option with a raise to $3,220, Galfond called, and aba20 woke up with a raise of his own, making it $13,940. Both his opponents made the call and the flop fell 4?8?9?. Fake Love888 immediately lead out for $39,995, Galfond raised all-in for $79,949, aba20 called off for $10,707, and Fake Love888 made the call.

Showdown
Fake Love888: 10?7?9?8?
aba20: A?A?2?3?
Galfond: K?Q?10?8?

The 2? turn was of little consequence, but the 10? river gave Fake Love888 top two pair, good enough to scoop the $146,799 pot. Unfortunately, Fake Love888 didnt hold on to all that profit and failed to make the weeks biggest winners list.

Monday Belongs to Cochrane; Sahamies in Action

A week ago, Gavin gavz101 Cochrane dropped $350,000 in a single day, but that didnt stop him from playing on Monday and reclaiming $130,00 in various PLO games. Surprisingly, he booked that win after taking down numerous small wins as opposed to any big pots. "Kaju85 was the days biggest loser, dropping $142,000 in $25/$50 PLO.

Surprisingly, neither the big winner nor loser were involved in the days biggest pots. That distinction belonged to Ilari Ilari FIN Sahamies. In one hand, Sahamies ($147,387) was playing heads up against Terje Terken89 Augdal ($52,579) at a $200/$400 PLO table when Sahamies opened for $1,360 on the button. Augdal three-bet to $4,240, Sahamies called, and the flop fell 8?K?8?. Augdal bet $3,333, Sahamies called, and the 2? appeared on the turn.

Once again, Augdal bet, this time $9,947, and Sahamies called, leading to the K? river. Augdal checked, Sahamies bet $35,198, and Augdal called off for $35,059. Sahamies rolled over A?K?3?6? for trip kings, but it was no good against the 8?2?Q?10? full house of Augdal, who was more than happy to take down the $105,078 pot.

In another big hand at the same stakes, "GVOZDIKA55" ($102,255) opened for $800 on the button, Sahamies ($49,120) made it $2,560 to go, and GVOZDIKA55 four-bet to $7,840. Sahamies called, and then checked the K?2?6? flop, opening the door for GVOZDIKA55 to bet $15,838. Sahamies woke up with a check-raise all-in for $41,290, GVOZDIKA55 called, and the cards were turned up:

Showdown
GVOZDIKA55: A?K?Q?10?
Sahamies: A?K?3?5?

Both players held a pair of kings with an ace kicker, but Sahamies had the nut-flush draw. The 2? turn changed nothing, while the 5? river gave Sahamies two pair and the $98,240 pot.

Action Picks Up on Tuesday

After a slow weekend, action picked up on Tuesday as several players booked $100,000-plus wins, including the days biggest winner, 1Il|1Il|1il|, who won $140,000. He did so after playing $50/$100 PLO for more than 12 hours. During that time, the biggest hand of the day developed at a five-handed game.

It began when doncarignano ($12,128) opened for $200 on the button, 1Il|1Il|1il| ($45,542.50) called from the small blind, and Ronny 1-ronnyr3 Kaiser ($47,935.25) three-bet to $2,700 from the big. The original raiser folded, 1Il|1Il|1il| woke up with a limp-raise to $8,400, and Kaiser called, bringing about the 6?5?9? flop.

1Il|1Il|1il| led out for $17,098, Kaiser min-raised to $34,196, and 1Il|1Il|1il| moved all-in for $37,142.50. Kaiser called the additional $2,946.50 and the cards were turned up:

Showdown
1Il|1Il|1il|: A?A?9?10?
Kaiser: 4?5?7?6?

Kaiser had flopped two pair and was ahead of 1Il|1Il|1il|s aces, but the 10? turn gave the latter top two pair and the lead. The Q? changed nothing and 1Il|1Il|1il| took down the $91,285 pot.
