It was an exciting Sunday on PokerStars as several notable players turned in excellent results. U.K. superstar James "Asprin1" Akenhead's was the biggest earner of the day, collecting $213,750 for his win in the Sunday Million. Having started the final table of the Sunday Million third in chips and with nearly 40 big blinds, James "Asprin1" Akenhead was in good position to challenge for the win. After his K?10? bested "pnp23's"Q?Q? with seven players remaining to double up, Akenhead appeared primed to take down the title. He rode that momentum into heads-up play with a 4-to-1 chip lead, but "pnp23" got a double-up of his own to close the gap.
The two players then paused the action to discuss a potential deal but couldn't agree on terms and the cards went back in the air. It didn't take long for Akenhead to reclaim a big chip lead en route to finishing his opponent off. The chips went into the middle in a race situation, with Akenhead holding K?J? against "pnp23's" pocket eights. A 7?6?5? flop and 10? turn left Akenhead needing to catch the river to take it down. Sure enough, the K? sealed the deal for Akenhead, who earned $213,750 for his first-place showing.

Entering the final table of the Sunday Warm-Up with a stack of less than 20 big blinds, eventual champion "RasA86" had a long way to go before securing the win. As fate would have it, "RasA86" got to heads-up play against "vonBaranow", who had a sizable chip lead with 100 big blinds at the start of the final table. The stacks to start the heads-up duel were fairly close, with "vonBaranow" holding a slight lead, one that would not last long. After handing over the chip lead, "vonBaranow" made a stand with A?7? but ran into "RasA86's" Q?Q?. A K?Q?6?J?3? board gave "RasA86" a set, locking up the victory for more than $112,000.
