The PartyPoker World Poker Tour Prague Main Event continued with action on Tuesday. Day 1b attracted another 179 players and brought the field to 294. Of those entering the second starting day, just under 100 remained. On top of them all was Mikhail Mazunin with 203,600. A hefty gap separating Mazunin and anyone else on the leaderboard, and he also earned the overall chip lead moving forward.

Much like Pasi Heinanen did on Day 1a, Mazunin took over the No. 1 spot right at the end of the night. During Level 9 with the blinds at 400/800/100, Juus Nevanlinna checked the 10?4?2?3? board before Mazunin fired 13,600. Nevanlinna check-raised all in for 61,900, and Mazunin made the call. He held the 7?5? for a turned flush to have Nevanlinna drawing dead with the J?J?. The 10? officially sealed the deal on the river to put Mazunin in the lead and eliminate Nevanlinna from the tournament.

Joining Nevanlinna on the rail throughout the course of the day were notables Bertrand ElkY Grospellier, Liv Boeree, Ilan Boujenah and Kevin MacPhee.

Grospellier also busted in Level 9 after his pocket fives couldn't beat the pocket jacks for Erik Olofsson. Boeree fell the level before when her A?6? couldn't muster a come-from-behind victory against Tibor Nagygyorgy's AxQx.

Former WPT champions Olivier Busquet and Matt Waxman were also busted during Day 1b at relatively the same juncture during Level 6. With the blinds at 200/400/50, Waxman was reported to have shoved with the 7?5? and lose to Zoltan Szabo's KxQ?. Busquet moved all in on a board of 9x9x3x4x10x holding the 9?7? for trip nines against recent WPT Montreal champion Jonathan Roy. He was no good against the pocket threes that gave Roy a full house.

Of those who fared a bit better were JC Alvarado who just missed out on the top 10 with a stack of 114,600 in chips Leonid Bilokur (77,900), Mohsin Charania (62,600), Faraz Jaka (56,100) and David Peters (54,000).

In similar fashion to the first two days, Day 1c will commence at 1300 CET (0700 ET) on Wednesday for the third and final starting flight. Following the completion of play, you will be able to find a daily recap right here on PokerNews.
