On Monday, March 18, 2013, Allen Kessler was announced as the latest addition to IveyPoker's Team Ivey, bringing the total team size up to 30 members, not including Phil Ivey.

Kessler boasts live career tournament earnings in excess of $2.6 million, 29 World Series of Poker cashes and 18 World Poker Tour championship event cashes. The largest single score of Kessler's career came at the WSOP in 2010 when he placed second behind Frank Kassela for $276,485 in the $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo Championship.

Kessler, who earned a dual degree in marketing and management, had a career as a marketing researcher before taking up poker full time. The Pennsylvania native with a very analytical and mathematical mind began frequenting card rooms in Atlantic City to hone his game and worked his way up through the cash games before hitting the tournament circuit. From there, the results began to pile up into nearly 200 live tournament cashes.

The full press release on the signing of Kessler can be found here.
