The top 10 of the 2013 Global Poker Index remained the same for a second consecutive week, with Paul Volpe barely edging out Mike Watson for the top spot. Dan Shak, who made the final table of Event #2 at the World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific, is currently in third place, and will receive a boost next week.

Making the largest leap in the top 100 this week was Calvin Anderson (98th), who finished fifth in the 2013 Irish Open, earning �49,000 and the title of "Sole Survivor." Anderson lasted the longest among the online qualifiers, and won �50,000 in cash, a seat into the 2014 Irish Open, and a seat into the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Also making a large leap was George Clyde-Smith. Clyde-Smith, now ranked 96th, just missed making the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event final table in January, finishing 11th.

Manig Loeser is now flirting with the top 20. He also went deep in the 2013 PCA Main Event, finishing 16th.

The GPI Player of the Year, presented by PokerNews, honors the player who has a strong performance as calculated by the USA Today Global Poker Index point system.
