Poker in Aruba Less Than One Month Away
The Players Poker Championship (PPC) South America Poker Classic (SAPC) in Aruba is less than a month away, with the PPC returning to the island from May 4 through 9 at the Radisson Aruba poker room.
Vincenzo Giannelli from Venezuela will be the featured pro at the SAPC and boasts over 500 online cashes, plus more than $100,000 in online winnings. He also has two cashes on the Latin American Poker Tour. Giannelli is widely regarded as one of the nicest players you'll meet in poker. He is a former judo champion.
"The PPC is looking to create the best opportunities for poker in the Caribbean, specifically Aruba," said Sandy Swartzbaugh, Co-Commissioner of the PPC. "We will continue to create opportunities for locals, South Americans and travelers abroad to win not only cash, but also entries to future events on this beautiful island."
With six featured events on the schedule culminating with a $1,000 Main Event on Wednesday, May 8, the SAPC is one of the great getaways for a short vacation before the World Series of Poker while still keeping your poker skills in top form.
If you happen to be traveling to Aruba in April, the SAPC will be running satellites for the series all month. The satellite schedule can be found here.
To help you plan your trip back to Aruba in October, when the DeepStacks Poker Tour PPC Aruba will be taking place, 20% of all prize pools will go toward future entries. The 2013 DSPT PPC Aruba is scheduled to take place October 2 through 9, featuring eight events and a $200,000 guaranteed Main Event with a $2,500 buy-in.
