While the action was lively over at Full Tilt Poker for the FTOPS XXII Main Event, PokerStars posted impressive traffic numbers of its own on Sunday. More than 9,498 entrants participated in the flagship Sunday Million, the most since the 7th Anniversary Sunday Million on March 3.
Two players walked away with more than $200,000 in prize money in the Sunday event after a three-way chop. "Chili197027" collected with the lion's share of the deal, locking up $222,000 as the chip leader before busting in third place after the terms were finalized. "Cecko80" went on to defeat "ollie_p" for the extra $20,000 for the winner and the honor of becoming the Sunday Million champion.
Among the notable winners on Sunday were former World Player Tour Player of the Year winners Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka and Joe "floes" Serock. Jaka won the PokerStars Sunday 500 for $84,865, while Serock won the Bigger $162 for $46,656. Staying with the WPT Player of the Year theme, Paul Volpe, currently tied for first in the Season XI WPT POY standings, finished second in the PokerStars Bigger $109 for just over $39,000.
