Bracelet Winner David Diaz Banned From WSOP and All Caesars Properties
In 2011, poker pro David Diaz was one of the best human-interest stories of the World Series of Poker. Diaz, who was diagnosed with cancer at the age of four and who eventually beat the illness, won a WSOP gold bracelet at the 2011 $1,500 Triple-Chance No-Limit Hold��em Championship, collecting $352,808 in cash.
Two years later, Diaz is the center of one of the uglier stories of the WSOP. On Tuesday, Diaz was banned from the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino and all other Caesars (formerly Harrah's) properties. According to Diaz, he was drunk and causing a disturbance at Carnaval Court, a nightclub at Harrah's Las Vegas. He took to Twitter to explain the situation (to the best of his ability).

On Thursday he continued with Twitter posts by expressing his apologies.
He tweeted, ��I would like to apologize to Harrahs, my friends, and to anyone my actions may have affected negatively. I made a mistake and plan to do everything in my power to make it right and take the proper steps so that nothing like this will ever happen again.��
Diaz has received support from fellow players like Matthew Waxman, who posted on Twitter a plea to release Diaz��s ban.

Chance Kornuth also came to Diaz��s defense on the social media site.

Additional details about the incident have not been released and there is no telling how long the ban will hold. However, it is clear that Diaz will not be participating in any WSOP events in the near future. His buy-in for Event #21: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em (Six Handed) was refunded.
