Chad Elie Exclusive, Part 4: Opening up on Twitter, Pleading Guilty and More

1 min read

During the conclusion of our exclusive interview with Chad Elie, Elie fills us in on why he eventually pleaded guilty, his reason for opening up on Twitter, his lawsuit against his former attorney Jeff Ifrah, and his new role in the poker industry as a sponsored pro for Attack Poker.

Elie was indicted along with ten other men on April 15, 2011 as part of what is now known as the Black Friday indictments. Although he was adamant about fighting the indictment, Elie eventually pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit bank fraud and operating an illegal gambling business in the United States and served a five month prison sentence. Prior to serving his time, Elie opened up to the poker community through his twitter account @BlackFridayChad and has been eager to shed light on the poker payment processing industry.
