Ultimate Poker Deals 10 Millionth Real-Money Hand; Poker Pro Steven Kelly Wins $5,000 0001

Three months after launching the first regulated, real-money online poker room in the U.S., Ultimate Poker reached a huge milestone on Thursday by dealing its 10 millionth hand of real-money poker.

The historic hand was dealt at a $.25/.50 no-limit hold'em table at 10:22 a.m. PST. The winner of the hand was 2010 World Series of Poker bracelet winner Steven Kelly, who was playing under his Ultimate Poker moniker "SteveKelly." Kelly won $6.85 with an ace-high in the hand, along with an additional $5,000 prize from Ultimate Poker as part of the milestone promotion to celebrate the monumental moment. Each of the other players seated at the table received $500.

According to PokerScout.com there were around 700 real-money cash game players online when the 10 millionth hand was dealt, and fortunately for Kelly he set his alarm in time to wake up for the milestone hand.

Ultimate Poker celebrated the 10 millionth hand festivities with 21 mini-milestone hands leading up to the big one. Beginning with hand 9 million, Ultimate Poker gave away $23,000 in cash prizes leading up to hand number 10 million. All players at the table when one of those hands was dealt received $50, with the winner of that hand credited $500.

Its incredible to be talking about our 10 millionth hand only three months after opening the doors," said Ultimate Gaming Chief Marketing Officer Joe Versaci. "It gives us a good opportunity to look back at how far weve come and an even better excuse to run a great promotion."

Ultimate Poker remains the only legal real-money online poker operation in Nevada. Last Thursday, parent company Ultimate Gaming received final approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission to operate the site after it underwent a strict 90-day real-money trial period.

The site is open to players over the age of 21 who are physically present in Nevada you don't need to be a resident of the state. Deposits and withdrawals can be made online or at any of the Station Casinos 16 locations in Las Vegas.
