J.C. Tran, the chip leader of the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event final table, will be donning 888poker gear when the November Nine reconvenes later this year.

888poker announced on Sunday that it has signed Tran to Team 888poker. Tran will join fellow Team 888poker players Jay Farber and Michiel Brummelhuis at the final table this November. Cricket star Shane Warne and former Main Event final tablists Sam Holden, Jesse Sylvia and Russell Thomas are also members of the team.

"I am extremely excited to work with 888poker and looking forward to a great experience," said Tran, who will enter the final table with 38 million in chips. "I can't wait to represent 888poker at my best and help in any way possible."

As a new ambassador for 888poker, Tran will exclusively represent the poker brand around the world in both live events and on the virtual felt at 888poker.com. Tran's travel plans will be light before the Main Event final table due to a "hectic" schedule with his family, as he told PokerNews in July. However, Tran will be in Paris for the World Series of Poker Europe, where he will represent the 888 brand.

Tran was born in Vietnam and now resides with his family in Sacramento, Calif. The 36-year-old is one of poker's most successful tournament players, having won two World Series of Poker bracelets and a World Poker Tour title. He boasts career earnings of around $8.3 million, and with a victory at the Main Event final table those earnings would double to more than $16.6 million (first place is $8,359,531).

"We are excited to have JC Tran join our Team 888poker," said Inbal Lavi, vice president of 888poker. "His attitude towards the game and inviting personality embodies what we look for in our Team ambassadors. This year Team 888poker will be at its strongest and should bring some exciting content and opportunities to our continuously growing poker room. Good luck to Tran and the rest of our Team."
