PokerNews is proud to announce that it will be partnering with the Players Poker Championship for official live reporting coverage of the PPC Aruba World Championship. Taking place Oct. 2-9, 2013, the series will play host to eight events. The marquee feature event is the $200,000 guarantee Main Event.

Running Oct. 5-9, the $2,500 Main Event will feature two starting days, PokerNews Live Reporting coverage and participants will be able to update their friends and family on their progress using the MyStack App.

This superb app, which generated more than 2,700 updates during the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event, connects poker players right to the PokerNews live feed. Players in the event will be able to update their own chip counts, post comments, and even share photos with other PokerNews readers from around the world. Players can also simultaneously update their Facebook friends and Twitter followers using the app.

"PokerNews.com is hands down the global leader in live reporting. Their staff is world-class and has supported our PPC Poker Tour events from day one," commented Sandy Swartzbaugh, PPC Commissioner. "When it came down to covering our PPC Aruba World Championship, PokerNews was the only choice."

"I'm extremely happy to be able to announce that PokerNews will be covering the PPC Aruba World Championship. The entire PPC staff is great and we look forward to an amazing event," said PokerNews Editor-in-Chief Donnie Peters. "Aruba is one of the premier destinations in the world for a poker event, and I've been a long advocate that it needs to be a feature along the tournament circuit each year."

Last year, the PPC brought poker back to Aruba last year with the $3,300 buy-in PPC Aruba Championship. The event attracted 31 entries and was won by former World Poker Tour Player of the Year Joe Serock for $40,574. This year, the PPC has focused their efforts on the event's growth by holding satellites and awarding seats to the $2,500 Main Event at their other stops, and also by adding the $200,000 guarantee.

Serock will be back in Aruba this year for the event as the featured pro and looking to defend his title. He'll be joined by World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Ronnie Bardah, Vincenzo "Tortuga" Giannelli, Mike Beasley, Hayden Fortini, Christopher Bolek and Steve Karp as other confirmed players for the event.

With buy-ins ranging from $220-$2,500 and just a quick flight from Florida, the PPC Aruba World Championship makes for a spectacular poker destination for players of all levels. If you are making the trip, don't be shy to say hello to the PokerNews staff in attendance. We'll see you in Aruba!
