WSOP.com Launches Promotion to Win Your Way to the 2014 WSOP Main Event
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, WSOP.com announced a promotion for players to "Freeroll Your Way to the 2014 WSOP Main Event." While the 2013 WSOP Main Event has yet to be completed (the final table will take place Nov. 4-5 in Las Vegas), it's certainly not too early to start thinking about next year's Super Bowl of poker.
The promotion is very simple and the 2014 WSOP Main Event seat will be awarded in an online freeroll scheduled for Nov. 6.
All one has to do is hop into any ring game on WSOP.com and play 250 raked hands during one of five one-week periods. The one-week periods for qualification, according to the promotion's page, are listed below:
- 10/1/13 at 12:01 a.m. PST through 10/7/13 at 11:59 p.m. PST
- 10/8/13 at 12:01 a.m. PST through 10/14/13 at 11:59 p.m. PST
- 10/15/13 at 12:01 a.m. PST through 10/21/13 at 11:59 p.m. PST
- 10/22/13 at 12:01 a.m. PST through 10/28/13 at 11:59 p.m. PST
- 10/29/13 at 12:01 a.m. PST through 11/4/13 at 11:59 p.m. PST
The winner of the online freeroll held on Nov. 6 will be awarded a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat for 2014, and who knows what could happen from there! In 2003, Chris Moneymaker turned $39 into $2.5 million, and countless other satellite winners have earned big paydays over the years in the WSOP Main Event. This year's first-place prize is over $8.3 million and that could have your name written all over it next year!
Remember, all hands must be played before 11:59 p.m. PST on Nov. 4 to be counted for entry into the Nov. 6 freeroll.
