On Friday, Macau Business Daily reported that Japanese pachinko hall operator Dynam Japan Holdings plans to work with a partner to bring online casino games in Macau, provided that such games comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Macau.

Pachinko halls host arcade-style gambling machines that are a mix between pinball and slot machines.

A 2012 law passed in Macau foreshadowed the possibility of mobile gaming in the former Portuguese colony, as long as players gambling on a wireless network are inside gambling areas. These areas would be outlines and regulated by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

Past efforts for globalized, cross-border online gambling in Macau have been abandoned.

Dynam plans to invest $15 million into Singapore-based online games designer I Got Games Inc for software development. IGG currently produces multi-language, free-to-play online games for portable devices, laptops, and personal computers. The company has regional offices in Mainland China, the Philippines, and the United States.

Dynam says that their next generation pachinko machines would be operated at Fishermans Wharf, and theyve already received a $35 million investment from former Macau legislator David Chow Kam Fais casino form Macau Legend Development.
