Marcin Milde Wins Two PocketFives Triple Crowns In a Fortnight
Marcin MARCIN123 Milde from Leeds, United Kingdom gave himself an early birthday present last weekend winning his second online Triple Crown in as many weeks his fourth overall.
The Triple Crown is awarded by PocketFives.com to any player who wins a multi-table tournament on three different online poker sites within a seven-day period. Winning one tournament is a difficult enough task at the best of times, never mind taking down three and doing it on concurrent weeks.
On December 30, Milde won the 100 buy-in Big Night In on the Microgaming Network for a $4,770.87 first prize and the 8,000 Guaranteed Rebuy on the iPoker Network ($2,486.91) to end 2013 on a high note.
He then started 2014 in the same rich vein of form, reaching three final tables in the first two days before taking down the PokerStars $33 NL Holdem 1R1A ($2,928.30). This was Mildes third win within a week and secured him a third Triple Crown.
On January 3, right one day after claiming the third Triple Crown of his career, Milde kept his winning streak on taking down also The Big 20 Special Sunday Million on the French PokerStars for a $5,172 first prize.
On January 5 then, he confirmed himself by winning also the Bigger $162 for a massive $42,000.65 pay day and the chance of a second Triple Crown in as many weeks. The $42,000.65 that Milde was awarded was the second largest cash of his online career, the largest being for over $110,000 after a third place finish at the Sunday Million in December 2011.
Milde secured a second Triple Crown on January 6, when playing as "Lippyt0wn123" he scooped the top prize in the 15,000 Guaranteed Rebuy on the iPoker Network for a $4,757.07 pay day.
Shortly after his latest victory, Milde wrote a simple but straight to the point Facebook status: "boom 4th triple crown on pocket fives.... #heattttttttttttttttttttttt."
Today, January 8, is Mildes 25th birthday and he will no doubt be celebrating in style after this remarkable run of results. If Mildes latest Facebook status is anything to go by, we will not see any more wins from him until at least Sunday:
