Bally's Atlantic City Poker Room Gets a WSOP Facelift 0001

Changes have come to the Wild Wild West casino area in Ballys Atlantic City. Caesars Entertainment, which owns four properties in Atlantic City (Ballys, Harrahs, Caesars and Showboat), has announced an overhaul that includes a state-of-the-art World Series of Poker-branded poker room.

According to a press release, the poker room, which previously sat on the sixth floor, was moved to the Old West-themed area of the casino and now features 42 live-game tables as well as dedicated tournament tables, a move that effectively doubled the amount of poker tables at Ballys.

In addition, the room, which will heavily push the WSOP.com online brand, offers free WiFi, charging stations, and 20+ HDTVs featuring all major local and national sport packages. Players also have access to tableside food and beverage offerings from Wild About Wings.

The poker room is not the only area being renovated. Ballys and the Wild Wild West will also include a "Party Pit" that will offer live entertainment from Thursday to Sunday.

The Wild Wild West provides locals and visitors alike with a truly unique experience of branded entertainment, gaming, and unparalleled excitement, so with these latest additions the property can now lay claim to a top-notch poker room and a game-changing party pit, said Kevin Ortzman, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Ballys, Caesars, and Showboat Atlantic City. We believe this development will forever evolve the face of poker in Atlantic City and expand our ability to provide guests with the highest quality of gaming and live entertainment opportunities available.

According to Jennifer Bogdan of Press of Atlantic City, Ballys will also reopen the casinos Pacific Avenue entrance, which has been closed since late 2011, on Monday. The entrance will give players direct access to the poker room.

Poker players like convenience. They dont want to have to walk very far, Freddie Niceta, vice president of table games for Caesars regional properties, told the Press of Atlantic City.
