First Annual Queen City Classic Begins March 13 at Horseshoe Cincinnati 0001

From March 13-24, the Horseshoe Cincinnati will host the first annual Queen City Classic (QCC), a 12-day poker series that boasts $500,000 in added prizes, a $260 buy-in $100,000 first-place guarantee opener, and $1,500 Main Event.

The self-branded Ohio tournament series, the first of its kind in the Buckeye State, will kick off with a $260 reentry event featuring a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool and six starting flights, each permitting unlimited reentry.

Players who advance from multiple starting flights double qualifiers as theyll be recognized earn a $2,000 bonus. The bonus is paid out for each Day 2 berth earned after a players first. That is, a player could advance from all six starting flights, pocket $10,000 worth of bonuses, and still be in contention for a guaranteed six-figure prize. Double qualifiers assume their largest stack on Day 2.

The series $1,500 Main Event begins March 21, and like in the Opener players are permitted unlimited reentry. Those who advance from Day 1a can enter Day 1b and will take their largest stack heading to Day 2.

The QCC will also host a five-tournament bounty series. The $200 events run nightly at 5 p.m. between March 18 and 22 and award $50 bounty bonuses each time a player eliminates an opponent. At the end of the series, the top 54 players reconvene to compete in a $25,000 freeroll. The field in this bounty series championship is made of the five tournament winners, the top five players with the most bounties each night excluding the winner (25 total players) and the top 24 total bounty leaders. Players who win multiple Bounty Series tournaments or who are in the top five for bounties more than once earn an extra 3,000 chips for the championship each time they qualify.

Finally, the QCC will offer a Turbo Series featuring 10 tournaments running daily at 2 p.m. between March 13 and 23. The tournaments run independent of one another but are inclusive in the 11-tournament Turbo Series and count toward the series leaderboard. At the end of the 11th Turbo Series event, the top 10 players on the leaderboard earn a piece of $30,000 put up by Horseshoe Cincinnati. The lions share of that $10,000 goes to the top point earner.
