According to the WSOP Live Blog, Day 3 action resumed in Level 26 (15,000/30,000/5,000) with Vincent Maglio holding nearly a third of the chips in play among the eight remaining players. It didnt take long for the first elimination of the day C just 15 minutes in fact C and it happened when Joe McKeehen raised from early position and then called when Luke Graham three-bet all in for 525,000 from the small blind.

Graham: A?8?
McKeehen: J?J?

Joseph McKeehen

Graham was in need of some help, and he found a pair of eights on the 10?8?2? flop. However, he needed either another or an ace to stay alive. The 7? turn didnt do it, and neither did the 3? river. Graham hit the rail in eighth place for $23,846.

Josh Kay and George Lampert were the next to go in seventh and sixth place respectively, and then Ian Ohara followed them out the door in fifth. It happened in Level 27 (20,000/40,000/5,000) when Maglio opened for 80,000 only to have Ohara three-bet to 190,000. Maglio responded by moving all in and Ohara wasted little time in calling off.

Maglio: A?K?
Ohara: A?Q?

Both players held an ace, which meant Maglios king kicker had him well out in front. The K?Q?3? flop paired Oharas kicker, but it also gave Maglio a pair of kings. The 7? turn failed to change anything, and that meant Ohara needed one of the two remaining queens on the river to stay alive. The dealer burned one last time and put out the 9?. Ohara missed and was eliminated in fifth place for $51,472.

In Level 28 (25,000/50,000/5,000), action folded to Dykshteyn and he limped from the small blind. McKeehen exercised his option from the big with a raise to 150,000, and then moved all in when Dykshteyn woke up with a check-raise to 450,000. Dykshteyn called and the cards were turned up.

Dykshteyn: 4?4?
McKeehen: 10?10?

McKeehen got it in as a dominant favorite, but disaster struck when the 9?7?4? flop delivered Dykshteyn a set. McKeehen was clearly disgusted and watched helplessly as the A? blanked on the turn followed by the 9? river. The two-time ring winner had to settle for fourth place and $68,291.

Vincent Maglio

After Richard Kirsch was felled in third place for $91,830, Dykshteyn and Maglio were left to do battle in heads-up play, which turned out to be a short affair. In the final hand, which happened in Level 29 (30,000/60,000/10,000), Dykshteyn raised the button only to have Maglio three-bet from the big blind. Dykshteyn responded by moving all in and Maglio called off for 5.5 million.

Dykshteyn: A?K?
Maglio: A?10?

Maglio was in dire straits, and he failed to catch as the board ran out Q?8?6?7?8?. Maglio had to settle for runner-up and a $125,201 consolation prize, while Dykshteyn captured the West Pam Beach title and $202,335 first-place prize.
