Speigel lost most of chips during this hand and ultimately went on to be the final player eliminated on Day 2.

8 | Jim Doumit | 340,000 |
9 | Peter Baars | 319,000 |
10 | Milan Gurung | 298,000 |
Some of those who will join Lee at the top of the counts include Murray Roach (692,000) and Rory Young (606,000), while Jazz Mathers (458,000), Adrian Attenborough (384,000) and Daniel Neilson (346,000) also finished Day 2 with commendable stacks.
Players like Oliver Gill (201,000), Anthony Aston (190,000), Jie Gao (158,000), Australian Poker Hall of Fame member Mel Judah (115,000) and Edison Nguyen (66,000) are also still alive heading into Day 3.
While Lee and the 36 other returning players are all fortunate enough to still be in contention for the AU$225,300 top prize, there were many who werent even fortunate enough to make it into the money at all. This includes players such as Dylan Honeyman, Billy Argyros, Stevan Chew, David Gorr, Jesse McKenzie, Jake Balsiger, former ANZPT Sydney champion Michael Kanaan and PokerStars Team Online's Roy Bhasin.
The aforementioned players would have been disappointed to not make the money, but arguably not as disappointed as the bubble boy. Hand-for-hand play lasted one hour and in the end it was Ben Williams who finished in a meaningless 55th place. Williams final hand saw him all in for just a couple of big blinds holding A?3? and having to come up against A?K?. Williams opponent flopped two pair and with no help on the turn or river, it was all over.
Following Williams elimination, Emanuel Curly Seal was the first player to finish in the money, taking 54th place for a $3,650 score and from there Srdjan Brkic (53rd - $3,650), Danny Zhong (52nd - $3,650), Daniel Charnock (50th - $3,650), Joe Reina (46th - $3,650), and last years ANZ Player of the Year runner-up Luke Brabin (39th - $4,100) were some of those eliminated in the money.
All the 37 remaining players have locked up $4,100 but will of course be looking to secure a spot on the final table. To make it through to the final nine, the players will have to return from 2:00 p.m. local time on Sunday and survive another action-packed day. Make sure to return to find out who makes the final table as PokerNews continues to provide live coverage of the ANZPT Sydney Main Event.
