After the conclusion of Day 1, a prize pool of $625,000 was generated from 25 entries and 12 players remained. Topping the survivors as the leader was Jonathan [Removed:250] with 231,300 in chips.

According to LAPCnews.com, others who played the event but were eliminated on Day 1 included Dominik Nitsche, Antonio Esfandiari, Andrew Lichtenberger, Dan Smith, Ben Sulsky, and Dan Shak.

The top three spots in the event will be paid out, which will lead to an exciting Day 2 of play. First place is worth $300,000, while second place will receive $200,000 and third place $125,000. Day 2 will begin Tuesday at 2 p.m. local time.

Last year, Rodger Johnson won this event for $182,315 after topping a field of 24 entries. A deal was made between the final four players of Brandon Meyers (2nd - $172,915), Micah Raskin (3rd - $117,140), and Tom Marchese (4th - $118,030).
