8th | Federico Piroddi | 8,000 |
9th | Marko Mikovic | 6,850 |
According to the pokerstarsblog.it, the first elimination of the final table came when Marko Mikovic opened for 80,000 under the gun only to have Treccarichi three-bet all in from the big blind. Mikovic snap-called off his remaining hips, but discovered hed just been coolered.
Treccarichi: A?A?
Mikovic: K?K?
The board ran out a clean 5?6?J?2?10?, and Mikovic had to settle for ninth place and 6,850. Before long Federico Piroddi and Claudio Daffin joined him on the rail in eighth and seventh place respectively.
After Leonardo Parmiggiani exited in sixth place, well-known Italian pro Andrea Dato followed him out the door in fifth. It happened when Dato opened for 160,000 from the cutoff and received two calls, which brought about a flop of Q?8?5?. All three players checked, and then Marcello Miniucchi bet the 6? turn. Only Dato called and then the two got it all in when an Ax hit the river. Dato held the K?7? for a bluff, which was no good against the Q?J? of Miniucchi.
Not long after, Gianluca Speranza got his stack all in holding the A?K? and was in prime shape to double against the A?4? of Miniucchi. Unfortunately for Speranza, a four fell on the turn and he was out in fourth place for 25,000.
After Dario Sammartino fell in third place, Miniucchi began heads-up play with a slight chip lead over Treccarichi. However, the man known as cesarino90 held strong and eventually took over the chip lead. Miniucchi, who had fallen to a short stack, then tried to steal from the button by moving all in with the Q?4?, but Treccarichi called from the big blind with the A?6?. The best hand held and Miniucchi had to settle for second place and a 72,500 consolation prize.
Congratulations to Walter "cesarino90" Treccarichi, winner of the PokerStars.IT IPT Saint Vincent for 87,500.
