On Wednesday afternoon, Portuguese poker pro Henrique Pinho used his Facebook page to announce that he has ended his journey as a member of Team PokerStars Pro.

"Good bye Team Pro! It was nice, but its over now!" Pinho wrote. "Its my last day as Team Pro on PokerStars. It has been a long ride, and it often made me feel like I was the king of the world. I had five incredible years, and I love almost everything I did."

The small Portuguese delegation of PokerStars Team Pro is now left in the hands of Jo?o Nunes. "I want to thank [Pinho] for the all the amazing moments we spent together," commented Nunes, wishing his former fellow member of PokerStars Team Pro to jump on even greater and more rewarding adventures.

Pinho confessed that he has yet to decide what will come next for him. "I cant explain whats it like to be a [PokerStars] Team Pro, but it surely is something great. However, for a door that closes, there are many windows that immediately open."

What is certain though is that Pinho will not step away from the poker industry, even though he's longer a member prestigious PokerStars Team Pro. "I think I will start spending the time I dedicated to the Team Pro on other poker-related projects," he wrote. "I love this game always more, and I want to keep working in it."

After graduating in management at the University of Porto in 2006, Pinho joined PokerStars Team Pro four years after he fell in love with the game. He says that the European Poker Tour broadcast on TV helped the game develop and gain popularity in his country.

Some of Pinho's best tournament results include a seventh-place finish at the EPT Berlin Main Event in 2010, and a third-place result in a Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) pot-limit Omaha event held the same year. Pinho currently sits in seventh position on Portugals Global Poker Index national rankings.
