Mid-States Poker Tour Adds Tropicana Evansville Casino to Season 5 Schedule
Season 5 of the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) has been the biggest and best yet, especially after it set state records in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota in consecutive stops. Now, just weeks after announcing new stops in Las Vegas and Milwaukee, the MSPT has announced that it will make its first-ever stop at the Tropicana Evansville Casino in Evansville, Indiana from August 16-24, 2014.
The MSPT is very excited to add the Tropicana Evansville Casino to the Season 5 schedule, said MSPT owner and operator Bryan Mileski. The poker market in Evansville and the surrounding area is second to none, and we expect players to turn out in full force to crush the guarantee.
Located at the bottom tip of Indiana near the border of Illinois and Kentucky, the Tropicana Evansville Casino is surrounded by four major cities (St. Louis, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Nashville) all within a three-hour drive. The casino is located on an 841,848 square foot area at Riverfront Park on the Ohio River in downtown Evansville. The $110 million entertainment facility includes a 250-room hotel and a 96-room boutique hotel, an executive conference center, retail shops, restaurants and lounge area.
The Tropicana Evansville, which marks the 21st stop in nine states on the MSPT Season 5 schedule, is guarantying 10 Main Event seats in each $250 qualifier meaning a minimum of 70 Main Event seats will be handed out during the prelim satellites.
