Partypoker Adds Sit-and-Gos to Mobile App 0001

Partypoker has released a significant change to its Android mobile app. For the very first time, partypoker.com Android players can now play real-money sit-and-gos (SNGs). This is in addition to the mobile app already supporting cash games and the fast-fold game, Fast Forward.

The inclusion of SNGs is the biggest upgrade to their mobile app since it was rolled out simultaneously with their new poker client in September 2013.

The Android app now includes just about every type of SNG, with satellite SNGs being the only exception. On some level it makes sense that satellite SNGs have not been rolled out as part of this upgrade since the tournament a mobile player might qualify into will not currently be supported by their mobile client.

Finding a sit-and-go is just as easy as finding a cash game on partypoker's easy-to-use mobile client. Players can filter tables for buy-in, number of players, and tournament structure. The mobile client itself is very intuitive and the big buttons make it less likely to click on an action you didn't intend to take.

Players using the iOS app for iPhone or iPad are not included in the last update but should also not have to wait long before the changes arrive also on their Apple devices. According to PokerFuse, iOS players should be able to play SNGs on their iPhones or other Apple devices by the end of this Spring.

Partypoker players in New Jersey may also not have to wait long for the new mobile app. The company is currently waiting to be granted approval from New Jersey regulators before releasing an updated app.

The release of the mobile app caps a busy week for partypoker as the company also rolled out the "new" partypoker client to partypoker.fr players. This update comes about nine months after a similar release was rolled out for partypoker.com players, and six months after the partypoker.nj roll out.

Partypoker hopes the new software will increase their market share in the French marketplace where it stands in a distant third place with only 15 percent - well behind industry leaders Winamax.fr and PokerStars.fr.
