Online Poker Operators Approved to Share Player Pools in Nevada 0001

Earlier this month, Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) and Treasure Island, which has a deal in place to utilize 888poker software for its upcoming online platform, filed application with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) seeking permission to combine their player pools on 888s All American Poker Network (AAPN).

Now, according to PokerFuse, the Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) has granted final approval on the plan. That means players in Nevada on WSOP.com will be able to play against Treasure Island players when play becomes available.

The plan is analogous to what is going on in Delaware, where 888poker provides software for the states three licensed entities, all of which share player pools. It also follows on the heels of the historic agreement between the governors of Nevada and Delaware that will see the two states join together for Internet poker. The compact aims to expand the marketplace for the two small states by joining player pools, and the platform is in the works.

"I think its important for them to know that were capable of doing this," Sandoval previously told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "I trust the regulatory process we have. We vetted this with Delaware for several months and were currently building the platform."
