It has been a while since there has been a half-million dollar winner online. This is mostly due to the lack of online action during the action-packed World Series of Poker and FIFA World Cup happening at the same time.

Macau's Chun Lei Zhou, better known as "samrostan" on the nosebleed tables at Full Tilt Poker, broke the streak with a huge day. On July 16, he scored an impressive $508,500 win.

The day began bright and early with Zhou battling it out with fellow high-stakes cash game player "Trueteller" in a $1,500/$3,000 eight-game session that lasted over five hours. Zhou seemed to win every big pot during the 1,041-hand session, and at one point was ahead over $400,000 before "Trueteller" mounted a small comeback to leaving Zhou ahead $287,500.

The biggest pot of the day came when the action turned to $300/$600 pot-limit Omaha. It started off hot and heavy with Zhou raising from the button to $1,500 with the K?7?J?5?. "Trueteller" also had a double-suited hand with the A?8?2?4? and three-bet to $4,500. Zhou called, bringing the pot to $9,000, and the flop came 3?Q?K?. This gave "Trueteller" an eight-high flush draw and samrostan top pair along with backdoor draw. "Trueteller" lead out with a bet of $4,500, which samrostan called, and the pot grew to $18,000.

The turn 7? was of no help to "Trueteller," but it gave Zhou two pair. Despite not improving his hand, "Trueteller" kept the pressure on by betting $13,500. Zhou called.

With the pot at $45,000, the river brought the 9? and did not improve either player's hand. "Trueteller" had less than a pot-sized bet left in his stack and opted to try to steal it by going all in with his remaining $38,100. Zhou called the bluff and shipped a big pot of $121,200.

Samrostan Continues Hot Streak By Winning $221,000 in 2-7 Triple Draw

After a two-and-a-half-hour break, Zhou was back at it again, this time at a $1,500/$3,000 2-7 triple draw table against Full Tilt Poker Professional Viktor Isildur1 Blom, Alex "Alexonmoon" Luneau, "Osama_no_Brunch", and Julis "Kagome Kagome" Fleischer.

Zhou played another five-hour session and bagged $221,000 to bring his total day's winnings to $508,500. That amount was about $100,000 shy of his peak high for the day.
