From November 10-11, Jorryt van Hoof will return to Las Vegas to as the chip leader of the 2014 World Series of Poker November Nine. Just eight players stand between him and a $10 million first-place prize, but no matter the outcome, the Dutchman has already lined up his next event the 2014 Master Classics of Poker (MCOP).

Van Hoof has signed on as an ambassador of the MCOP, which is known as the Wimbledon of Dutch poker tournaments, and the event will take place November 21-29 at the Holland Casino Amsterdam. The tournament dates were actually pushed back so Dutch poker players can travel to Las Vegas to support van Hoof and then return to chase dreams of their own.

As ambassador, van Hoof, who became the second Dutch player to make the WSOP Main Event final table (the other was Michiel Brummelhuis), will promote the MCOP at home and abroad over the coming months.

"We selected van Hoof as our new ambassador because he's currently the top poker player in the Netherlands, so of course we're honored that he's going to promote the MCOP, the Holland Casino said in a press release.

The MCOP Main Event dates back to 1993 and has a rich history of winners including Surinder Sunar (1993), Johan Storakers (2003), Robert Mizrachi (2004), Trond Eidsvig (2007), and Ole Schemion (2012), with the largest first-place prize coming in 2006 when Ali Jalali won the event for a massive 700,000. Most recently, Noah Boeken topped a field of 246 players and 52 reentries to capture the title and 306,821 first-place prize.
