Poker770 Migrates to the NetBet Poker Platform
NetBet, a Malta-licensed gaming operator that recently rebranded poker network, has finished migrating Poker770 players to its gaming platform. The move will enable NetBet Poker players who previously played at Poker770 to also enjoy games at NetBet Casino and NetBet Sports under a singular platform.
"We are aware that players want the choice and security a united platform offers them and so are delighted to be able to make this announcement, the Head of Poker at NetBet announced in a public statement. "Poker770 players will find a familiar home with the same high standards but we also look forward to welcoming many new players to our NetBet family."
NetBet now has a fairly large community of over 2 million members. Poker770's Twitter account with its over 3,000 followers has also been rebranded to @netbetpoker.

Smooth Player Migration
The migration for Poker770 players is fairly seamless since all balances, tokens, and VIP rewards will be completed migrated to the newly rebranded NetBet Poker platform. The only expected differences for players is the one time step of downloading a new client and going-forward playing with NetBet's skin design instead of what they may have been used to at Poker770.
The rebranded poker room will remain on the iPoker network's top tier, allowing its players to compete against players from other top tier iPoker skins such as Bet365, Betfair, Betfred, Paddy Power, and William Hill.
Will NetBet Pull Out of the United Kingdom?
We have recently seen the iPoker skin Mansion Poker announce its exit from the UK market in preparation of the recently passed Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Bill. Many in the industry feel it is just a matter of time before this gaming act is enforced despite the Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association's (GBGA) legal challenge still pending.
The gaming bill provides stricter conditions for UK-based gaming operators including a 15 percent point of consumption tax. This is forcing many gaming operators to rethink their long-term strategy in the UK, with many smaller operators most likely to exit the market.
As one of the larger iPoker network skins, it is believed that NetBet will continue to offer services to its UK-based players even if the GBGA challenge proves to be unsuccessful. NetBet already owns a UK gaming license in addition to its Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) license and is expected to migrate its UK-based players to a special dot-co-uk domain once the new gaming bill is enforced if not before then.
