Is Poker a Selfish Game?
Many poker players will agree that poker is inherently a selfish game since every time one player wins, it is at an expense of another player.
Even if you think this way, the game doesn't always have to be selfish. PokerStars Team Pro Victor Ramdin describes how playing charity poker can be fulfilling and fun to those poker players that want to give back in a blog titled, Is Poker a Selfish Game?
Ramdin talks about two charity poker tournaments he recently played in and which pro poker players he noticed were also at the events. He also talks about how he plans to attend Aces for Kids, which is aimed at helping children by raising money for the Genesis Foundation for Fitness and Tennis.

Punta Cana Classic Trip Report
Full Tilt blogger Gareth Chantler describes his trip to the Dominican Republic and his experiences playing in the Punta Cana Classic in a two-part blog titled, Borderline Gambling, The Punta Cana Classic.
The trip report talks about how some tournaments have hidden rake. The blogger was disappointed in the fact that $150 in rake was advertised for the $1,500 buy-in event, however, there was a hidden rake of $20 to receive $5,000 chips along with the 3% being removed from the prize pool for staff.
Chantler appeared to be enjoying himself at the tables, and ran into the eventual winner, Ari Engel, not once, but twice. This was due to Engel busting out on his first bullet before making a nice run with his second buy-in to claim the title and $136,225.

This London-based Lithuanian player came into the final table as the chip leader, but it was not an easy road ahead with worthy opponents also competing for the top spot including Ben Warrington, Tamer Kamel, Antoine Saout, Phillip Mighall, and Patrick Leonard.
