DraftKings Pro Al Zeidenfeld Shares How to Find an Edge in Daily Fantasy Sports
There are infinite ways to gain an advantage on your opponents when drafting your Daily Fantasy Sports teams. In this video, DraftKings Pro Al Zeidenfeld shares some of the key ways he finds his edge.
Zeidenfield uses "chalk" plays very effectively. For those who don't know, "chalk" plays measure the player price versus the industry-standard projections. You'll often see the higher-priced players lower owned because people don't want to use so much of their salary on one player. However, Al discovered that paying a lot for someone can be a huge advantage. Building around stars can help to project a solid all-around lineup, especially when those stars have low ownership.
Zeidenfeld also strives to win multiple seats to big money tournaments, particularly those that are very top heavy in payouts. Knowing how to differentiate two or more lineups creates more chances for that top prize. Obviously there is always going to be the element of luck as Al laments barely missing out on his seat to the WPT recently when his quarterback threw to the one player that would put his opponent in a better spot than him. However, if you put yourself in the position to get lucky, sometimes you will!
