Two months after Brett Angell left the Grand Connaught Rooms in London with 115,083 and the title of champion of the last United Kingdom and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Main Event in Season 4, its time to get ready for yet another round of UKIPT events.
As announced by PokerStars on Monday, Dec. 8, the fifth season of its popular live poker series will kick off once again from the British capital city and hit the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester square from Jan. 20-25, 2015.
The first stop of the UKIPT Season 5 will feature a 770 buy-in Main Event together with a selection of side events that includes a 3,300 High Roller, a 330 London Cup, and a $165 Ladies Event.
The organizers also promise to offer cash games "around the clock" during the event, and give players plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great atmosphere of the Hippodrome Casino.
Last year, Season 4 of the UKIPT awarded a total of 7 million in prizes and saw over 7,700 participants to the 14 main events organized between the UK, Ireland, Scotland, the Isle of Man, and Spain.

The organizers confirmed also the one-off in Marbella, Spain, for a summer event that in 2014 managed to attract 750 participants crowning Spains Rodrigo Espinosa as the Main Events champion.
The UKIPT Season 5 is also set to introduce some interesting new elements to the tour, as every stop in the calendar will now feature an High Roller event, and as a 1 million prize pool is expected to be guaranteed during the UKIPT Main Event to be held in Nottingham sometime in 2015.
