For nearly five years, Kara Scott has served as an ambassador for partypoker, a site she has represented across the globe at such events as the Premier League, the Big Game, and the European Open, just to name a few. Now, entering the new year, Scott has announced that she will be parting ways with the online poker company.

I'd like to announce that as of the end of this year, I will no longer be an ambassador for partypoker or their associated brands, Scott revealed in her blog on CardRunners. She went on to explain: Partypoker has gone through many changes and unfortunately as their focus shifted, there were fewer and fewer TV projects. As those shows disappeared, so did one of my favorite parts of the job and now my association with [partypoker] is ending. However, I'm not going anywhere. I still love playing poker and have made a lot of great friends in the industry.

Scott, originally from northern Canada, rose to fame when she became the main presenter of Poker Night Live, then appeared on the World Poker Tour and High Stakes Poker, and is now seen on broadcast of the World Series of Poker. As a player, Scott finished runner-up in the Irish Open for $413,612 and cashed in the WSOP Main Event in consecutive years, finishing 104th and 238th in 2008 and 2009, respectively.

The last five years with [partypoker] were a real learning experience for me,"Scott said. "I made incredible memories and will always be glad for the time I spent there. I wish all of my former colleagues the best and I look forward to buying them a drink the next time we bump into each other at a poker event.

Scotts departure comes a few months after Marvin Rettenmaier left Team partypoker. The German served 2.5 years on the sites roster, which is now comprised of just famed WPT commentator and Poker Hall of Famer Mike Sexton.
