As 2014 came to a close, Poker Night in America (PNIA) revealed that its show C the only poker program of the year to premiere on a cable network C was picked up by CBS Sports Network for two more seasons. Season 2 of PNIA, which also moved from Sunday nights to Mondays at 10 p.m. EST, premiered this past week, and from Jan. 16-19 it'll hold its first stop of 2015 at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City.

The high-stakes cash game, which will be filmed for TV, will feature a star-studded lineup including three-time Emmy winner and avid poker player James Woods; movie critic Richard Roeper, who will be making his second appearance on the show; and Craig Carton, who along with Boomer Esiason hosts the nationally syndicated Boomer and Carton in the Morning show on WFAN Radio and the CBS Sports Network.

Woods, a two-time Academy Award nominee known for memorable roles in both film (Casino and Ghosts of Mississippi) and television (Shark and Ray Donovan), is a regular at both the World Series of Poker and Borgata events. Not long ago, he made national headlines after his strong political views resulted in a public spat with Rev. Al Sharpton.

Woods is sure to deliver another performance thats well worth watching, said PNIAs Nolan Dalla. Indeed, Woods is slated to join Roeper, who played at last years Turning Stone stop in Upstate New York, for a film retrospective remembering the most famous poker scenes in movies. That segment will be filmed for a future episode.

Joining the trio of celebrities is a laundry list of poker pros including returnees Matt Glantz, Jared Jaffee, Travell Thomas, Mike Dentale, and Ken Teach Aldridge. Likewise, Linda Kenney Baden, one of the countrys foremost criminal defense attorneys, will make her second appearance on the show after winning big last year at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. As you may or may not know, Kenney Baden defended record producing legend Phil Spector in his murder trial and was subsequently portrayed by actress Helen Mirren in a movie.

The lineup will also include first-timers Dan Shak, a former hedge-fund manager with nearly $7 million in live tournament earnings; Wendeen Eolis, the first woman ever to cash in the WSOP Main Event Championship; Katie Stone, the creator of the Grindettes, a group of women who look to dominate the poker world; and Matt Stout, who has more than $1 million in WSOP-related events alone.

PNIAs first stop of the year is a part of the Golden Nuggets The Grand Poker Series that will culminate in a $1,000 (+$125) buy-in No-Limit Holdem Main Event from Jan. 16-19. Additionally, PNIAs filmed cash game, which will be live streamed on a 30-minute delay, will take place on Saturday-Sunday Jan. 17-18. For more information, visit PokerNight.com.
