This weekend, the Mid-States Poker Tour will return to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for an $1,100 buy-in, $200,000 guaranteed Main Event at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The stop is primed to crush the guarantee, which it did the first time the tour visited the property in Season 5; in fact, that tournament set a state record with 487 entries, which created a $487,000 prize pool.

Michigan's Jason Zarlenga won that tournament, which marked the second-largest event in MSPT history, for a nice $120,164 payday.

"I'll be here for the Main Event," Allen Kessler said of the upcoming tournament. "Great venue near Milwaukee and Chicago. First will be over $100K."

Kessler, who helped design the MSPT structure making it "Chainsaw Approved" also encouraged fellow pros such as Aaron and Ralph Massey, Rex Clinkscales, and Kristin Ting to make the trip. Whether or not they do remains to be seen, but the stop is sure to draw some of Wisconsin's best including Wisconsin PPA Director Steve Verrett, online legend Mark "P0ker H0" Kroon, and Ben Wiora, who won the MSPT Wisconsin State Poker Championship at Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells back in February.

"As far as tournaments go, I want to play in some more MSPT events," Wiora told PokerNews shortly after his win. "I think they did an amazing job with the entire tournament."

The stop will also host a series of qualifiers and super satellites into the $1,100 buy-in Main Event, which will feature two starting flights on Friday and Saturday night respectively. PokerNews Live Reporting will be on hand to capture all the action from that event, and of course players will have the opportunity to use the MyStack app to update their hands and chip counts straight into the live blog.

"Potawatomi draws from several big poker markets, which is sure to ensure a huge turnout for our second visit to the property," said MSPT owner and operator Bryan Mileski. "Potawatomi not only offers great gaming options, it also has a brand new hotel that will ensure players a luxurious stay."

Potawatomi boasts a gorgeous hotel, and rooms are available to MSPT players at a discounted rate of $149/nt. The room block is limited though so be sure to book your room right away, don't get shut out. To book online, use code 150406poke or simply call 1-844-217-4100 and tell them you want in on the Mid-States Poker Tour room block.

In addition, those flying into the stop via Delta can receive a 2% to 10% discount as an MSPT player. Click here for details on what to do in order to get the discount.
