WSOP Day 14: Matt Elsby and Adrian Buckley Claim Their First Bracelets
Day 14 of the 2015 World Series of Poker saw two bracelets awarded, two events reach their final few tables, and two Day 1's rush furiously close to the money.

Matt Elsby Wins Event #19: $3,000 Limit Hold'em Six-Handed
Event #19: $3,000 Limit Hold'em Six-Handed resumed on Tuesday with 22 players returning from the starting field of 319. After a grueling 12 hours, including 256 hands at the final table, Matt Elsby emerged victorious to claim his first WSOP gold bracelet.
"Whoever stays the most focused and plays the best consistently usually does the best," said Elsby afterward. "This was my third (WSOP) Limit Hold'em final table and I finally got one (bracelet) now. I thought I was going to win the last one ($1,500 Limit Hold'em in 2011), but I donked and finished fifth, so this one's a lot better."
Notable finishes included Brian Hastings (7th - $21,684), Keven Stammen (8th - 21,684), Matt Hawrilenko (11th - $12,209), David Chiu (14th - $9,501), Ronnie Bardah (16th - $9,501), Randal Flowers (20th - $7,567) and Jorryt van Hoof (22nd - $7,567).

From Dead Last in Chips to WSOP Champ: Adrian "Pile Driver" Buckley Takes Down Millionaire Maker
Five days ago, 27-year-old Adrian Buckley was an unknown face among the 7,275 entrants that took part in the third annual $1,500 buy-in Millionaire Maker. The 2015 WSOP edition created a prize pool of $9,821,250, with $1,277,193 going to the eventual winner. Little did Buckley know, he'd be taking that back home to Colorado.
"It's completely 100% surreal, it makes no sense to me so far," Buckley said immediately after defeating Spain's Javier Zarco in heads-up play. "I don't even know what's going on yet. I feel extremely lucky �� I fought through it. It's been crazy. It's been the run of the century, I don't see how it could ever happen. It doesn't make sense, especially to a guy for his first cash. So excited, beyond belief."
Indeed, Buckley's "run of the century" came after he flirted with elimination numerous times. On Day 2, he bagged just 80,000, which made him the third-shortest stack among the 142 survivors. He somehow managed to survive Day 3, albeit dead last in chips among the final 17 players, which included a murderer's row of pros including Andrew "Lucky Chewy" Lichtenberger, Mike Sexton, Erick Lindgren, and Olivier Busquet.

Garrett Beckman Leads the Final 35 Players in Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em
21 levels are in the books in Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em. The field of 1,844 is down to just 35 and leading the way into Day 3 is Garrett Beckman with 1,288,000. He is followed by Caufman Talley (1,076,000) and Darrell Funk (781,000).
Also still in the hunt are Ben Zamani (550,000), bracelet-winner Andy Frankenberger (495,000), Natasha Barbour (296,000) and Kevin MacPhee (225,000).
Play resumes Wednesday at 1 p.m. with hopes of reaching a winner by night's end.
Prince of Docness Leads Final 18 of $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship
Just 18 players remain from a starting field of 157 in Event #22: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship. They reached the money late in the night, locking up a cash for the final 18 players. Leading the way is WSOP Omaha Hi-Low regular Prince of Docness.

207 Left in Event #22: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em; Kyle White and Jose "Nacho" Barbero Lead
The first $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event of the summer kicked off Tuesday, drawing 1,951 entrants. After 11 levels on Day 1, 207 players bagged up. On top of the chip counts is Kyle White with 184,900, followed by Jose "Nacho" Barbero (175,600), Talesh Patel (158,500), Matt Stout (147,700) and Jason Wheeler (123,100).
Among the rest of the field who bagged and tagged were Zo Karim (100,400), bracelet winner Antonio Esfandiari (93,500), bracelet winner David "ODB" Baker (81,900), Tony Cousineau (48,000), Jesse Sylvia (45,900), and Stephen Chidwick (20,500).
Play resumes at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Christian Pham Leads the Final 40 of Event #23: $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball
The only low buy-in of No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball kicked off today and 219 players took to the felt. Only 40 lasted the full 10 levels on Day 1 and leading the way into Day 2 is Christian Pham with a whopping 145,175. Rounding out the top five are Nicholas Verkaik (90,000), Daniel Ospina (71,550), Andrey Zhigalov (70,975), and Eric Wasserson (63,600).
The remaining field is stacked as well and includes Dan Smith (58,175), Jorryt van Hoof (56,350), three-time bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi (53,175), bracelet-winner Mike Gorodinsky (33,050), bracelet-winner Mike Leah (26,500), and two-time bracelet winner Frank Kassela (23,650).
