2015 River Poker Series Main Event Day 2: Andrejevic Leads Final 10 with $1M Up Top
When Day 2 of the 2015 WinStar River Poker Series $2,500 Main Event began, there were 118 players remaining with Barry Hutter leading the charge. All of them were in the money and guaranteed at least $4,000, but it was the juicy $1 million guaranteed top prize that everyone had their sights set on.
Following 10 one-hour levels of play, just 10 players remained with Andy Andrejevic holding the chip lead. Andrejevic bagged up 5.58 million in chips and will be the frontrunner to earn the title when action resumes tomorrow at 12 .m. local time.

Andrejevic took the lead when he clashed with Mark Eddleman during Level 23 with the blinds at 10,000/20,000/3,000. With an all-in Ben Perez awaiting his fate on the J?7?2?6? board, Eddleman check-called a big bet of 500,000 from Andrejevic. The river was the 3?, and Eddleman check-called 1.2 million this time. Andrejevic showed him the J?J? for top set, and Eddleman's 9?9? went down. Perez had the Q?Q? and was eliminated. Eddleman would go on to finish in 19th place for $15,000.
Hutter started the day as the leader and he finished the day as the second largest stack going forward. He bagged up 4.835 million in chips, and much of that was due to a huge clash late with Olivier Busquet. Hutter won the hand, but it wasn't without him having to get very lucky to do so.
Busquet and Hutter got all the money in with 13 players remaining for a pot worth nearly 3 million at the 20,000/40,000/5,000 level. Busquet had the best of it with two kings, but Hutter's pocket jacks sucked out to make a full house and give him the pot. Busquet finished in 13th place for $20,000.
Along with Andrejevic and Hutter, the remaining players are Jake Haller, Lonny Hardcastle, Maxx Coleman, Joseph Skinner, Jose Montes, Patana Pradith, Douglas Claybrook, and Numit Agrawal.
Some of the notables to bust on Day 2 were Clint Tolbert (110th - $4,000), Maria Ho (97th - $4,500), Joe Kuether (77th - $5,000), James Mordue (56th - $6,000), Ray Henson (41st - $7,000), Bronson Tucker (33rd - $8,000), and Cord Garcia (22nd - $12,000).
All 10 have locked up at least $30,000 in prize money, and the top five spots will earn a six-figure score. Be sure to return right here to PokerNews for more live coverage tomorrow as the 2015 WinStar River Poker Series $2,500 Main Event plays down to a winner.
