After all of last week��s movement following the completion of the European Poker Tour Barcelona festival, the top of the 2015 Global Poker Index Player of the Year leaderboard was completely quiet this week with the top 10 remaining identical from a week ago. That means Anthony Zinno remains the frontrunner for a 10th-straight week.
Looking down the list a bit, Thomas Marchese moved up from No. 43 to No. 30 and Michael Wang from No. 63 to No. 42 after both made relatively deep runs in the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker Main Event where Marchese finished 16th and Wang seventh.

Meanwhile in the overall GPI rankings there was a bit of movement among the top 10 while Jason Mercier kept the No. 1 position for an eighth-straight week.
Byron Kaverman (No. 2 this week) and Zinno (No. 3) swapped spots, while Davidi Kitai moved up from No. 10 to No. 7. Kitai��s previous highest-ranking has been No. 2, and he��s expressed before a desire to reach the top spot in the rankings.

Last week there were 23 newcomers inside the GPI overall top 300, while this week there are just a half-dozen new names to report. Stan Jablonski is the highest-ranked of the six, having moved up after finishing fifth in that aforementioned WPT Legends of Poker event.

A move up from No. 404 to No. 235 made Jablonski the biggest gainer of the week among those inside the top 300.
Meanwhile a sixth-place showing by Rob Wazwaz at the Mid-States Poker Tour event at the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin enabled him to move from No. 424 up to No. 295. Finally, among the players retaining their spots inside the GPI top 300, Anatoly Filatov fell the furthest, dropping from No. 168 to No. 294 this week.
