Newly Wed Jason Seitz Capture PNIA Tour Canterbury Park Title for $101,755
On Monday, the Poker Night in America C The Tour $1,650 Main Event, which was a part of the 2015 Twin Cities Poker Open, came to an end at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota. The tournament attracted 278 entrants, which created a $408,660 prize pool, and in the end it was local poker pro Jason Seitz who emerged victorious to capture the $101,755 first-place prize.
Here's how PNIA described Seitz's victory:
"Seitz, from Shakopee, MN put on a clinic at the final table, besting a tough lineup that was live-streamed and filmed for a later national broadcast on "Poker Night: The Tour." The final table lasted only about three hours, during which Seitz managed to come all the way back from last place at one point, when play was five-handed, and walk away with a six-figure payout."
Prior to the win, Seitz had put together an impressive tournament rsum, one that totaled $291,110 in career earnings. Among the highlights were winning the 2006 Heartland Poker Tour Mille Lacs for $47,005; capturing the 2011 MSPT Running Aces title for $56,295; finishing 685th in the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event for $18,406; and placing 35th in a 2011 WSOP $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event for $15,089.
"Feels Awesome! Winning a six-figure score has been a goal for a while, don't get a lot of chances here in Minnesota," Seitz told PokerNews.

The event attracted some big names, but none bigger than 14-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth. Unfortunately for the "Poker Brat," he only lasted five hands when Big Slick outdrew his pocket queens in an all-in preflop confrontation.
"Playing with Phil Hellmuth was a lot of fun because the guy is a poker legend," said Seitz. "Both in his poker production and in his mind. He's a unique character. Great for the game."
While Hellmuth failed to cash, plenty of notables did including former WSOP November Niner Jason Senti (26th - $2,861); Midwest grinder Lance Harris (16th - $4,087); Mark Hodge (14th - $5,108), who is currently battling for Mid-States Poker Tour Season 6 Player of the Year; Big One for ONE DROP participant John Morgan (11th - $6,130); and recent MSPT Canterbury Park champ Dan "DQ" Hendrickson (10th - $8,173).
As for Seitz, he plans to use some of the prize money toward a honeymoon (he was married last Thursday), while also putting some toward a new car. As for poker, he will next be at the MSPT Potawatomi this weekend in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and then back to Canterbury Park for their annual Fall Poker Classic.
